Young City Reads 2017 Fantastic Fizzlbert Finale!

Thank you to everyone who took part in Young City Reads 2017, it’s been another fantastic year with more children across the city joining in with the ‘big read’ than ever before!
There’s been an awful lot of love for this year’s book Fizzlebert Stump, The Boy Who Ran Away From The Circus And Joined The Library and what better way to celebrate than inviting everyone who took part in the BIG READ to meet the author and illustrator extraordinaire’s A F Harrold and Sarah Horne in a spectacular interactive show at The Brighton Dome?!!!!
A whopping 1,950 children were signed up to read the book together, by 74 teachers from across 42 different schools, with many joining us at the Brighton Festival event, so you can just imagine the fizzing atmosphere in the auditorium! Here’s a few photo’s to illustrate!

What an amazing afternoon, tons of fun, packed full of silliness and lots of laughs! A huge well done to all the children involved in the project and massive thank you to teachers, assistants and all who were involved in making the project a huge success.
